Delete Your Account
Last updated: August 25, 2026
You can delete your Fahm account at any time, and you do not have to tell us why. Deleting is permanent — it removes your account and the data stored with it, and it cannot be undone or reversed by contacting us afterwards.
Delete it from inside the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Fahm and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete.
You will be signed out as soon as it completes. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email — the account is gone at that point.
Request deletion without the app
If you have already uninstalled Fahm, or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.
Email support@fahmapp.in from the address you use to sign in to Fahm. We need the request to come from that address, because it is the only way we can tell the account is yours — we will not act on a deletion request for an account we cannot confirm belongs to the person asking.
If you signed in with Google, use that Google account's email address. We will confirm by reply once it is done, normally within 7 days and always within 30 days of receiving the request.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in — The account itself, along with your name, email address and profile photo. This is what makes the deletion permanent — the same email can register again later, but it would be a new account with nothing carried over.
- Your moon-sighting votes — Every crescent-sighting vote you cast. Each one is removed from its country's tally at the same time, so no trace of your participation remains in the counts other people see.
- Your mosque Jummah submissions — Every Jummah prayer time you submitted, and your contribution to that mosque's count for it.
- Feedback you sent us — Any feedback submitted from inside the app, including screenshots you attached.
- Everything stored on your device — Prayer tracking history and streaks, bookmarks, downloaded Quran and Hadith content, reading position, and every setting. This is cleared on the device you delete from — it never leaves your phone, so it is not something we can remove remotely.
What is kept, and why
Two things survive deletion. Neither identifies you, and neither can be linked back to your account once it is gone.
- Confirmed Jummah times at mosques — Once enough people independently report the same Jummah time for a mosque, that time is confirmed and shown to everyone. It stays. It is the community's answer rather than yours, holds no personal information, and withdrawing it would change what every other user of that mosque sees.
- Anonymous crash and usage statistics — Crash reports and screen-view counts are not linked to your account and cannot be traced back to it, so there is nothing identifiable to delete.
We may also keep records where the law requires it, for as long as it requires and no longer.
Before you delete
Deleting removes your prayer tracking history and streaks, and they cannot be restored. If you only want to stop using Fahm on one device, signing out from the Profile tab leaves your account intact and you can sign back in later.
